Career & expertise
Pierre has 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. During his career, he led teams involved in pre-formulation, formulation and process development work, from early stage to industrial transfer. His expertise covers small molecules, biotherapeutics and nucleic acids modalities.
He pioneered early work on Non-Viral Gene Delivery approaches, developing innovative approaches for nucleic acids formulation.
He was involved in the CMC development and contributed to the successful filing and approval of several drugs, such as Jevtana, Kevzara or Sarclisa.
He run multiple collaborations with industrial or academic partners and CMC due diligences for the acquisition of drugs or companies by Sanofi.
In his most recent position he served as Global Scientific Advisor for the mRNA Center of Excellence of Sanofi Vaccines division, organizing scientific advisory boards addressing the complex challenges of mRNA LNP vaccines development.
As the founder of the Pharmaceutical Development Institute (PDI), he provides science-driven training and strategic advisory support, helping organizations de-risk their manufacturing processes and build long-term internal technical capabilities.
Academic background
Education
Pierre graduated from the Institut National Agronomique in Paris, France and received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at the Institut Gustave Roussy.

He is author/co-author of over 30 scientific publications and multiple international conference presentations, and delivered trainings in advanced university courses.

He is co-editor of a Special Issue of « Biomedicines » journal on "Nucleic Acids for Vaccination and Therapeutics".
